The aim of the present work was to study the value of some inflammatory biomarkers (Interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 8 (IL-8), and C-reactive protein (CRP)) in predicting the outcome of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) as a therapeutic modality in the management of ARF on top of COPD. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
