Whilst IRF-1 is an important mediator of type-I IFN responses, expression of IRF-1 transcripts themselves was only slightly and non-significantly increased at 7 days after EBV infection (FC = 1.3; p = 0.106) and non-significantly decreased in response to CD40L/IL-4 (FC = 1.4; p = 0.141). Here, IRF1 is linked to Epstein-Barr virus infection.
