Figure 6A shows that during the infection there was an increase in TNF-α gene expression levels in both groups of infected mice. In contrast, the expression level of IL-6 mRNA remained unchanged in Tc-WT but was significantly increased in Tc-TNF-R1−/− group (Figure 6B). When analyzing IL-1β mRNA, an increased but statistically insignificant gene expression in Tc-TNF-R1−/− mice was found (Figure 6C). Here, TNFRSF1A is linked to infection.
