TFPI2 and cancer: In this study, we propose an additional mechanism for TFPI-2 repression in cancer: expression of an aberrant transcript, LCT13, initiating at the ASP of an intergenic LINE-1 element and extending over 300 kb, antisense to the TFPI-2 gene, is associated with TFPI-2 repression and the deposition of repressive histone marks.
