SENP2 and breast cancer: Interestingly, the expression levels of SENP2 were negatively correlated with the levels of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1), a key player in breast cancer cell glucose metabolism, in 30 human breast tumor samples (Fig. 1.B, C, Table 1,) and Spearman Rank-order Coefficient (rs) was −0.42691, P<0.05 ), suggesting an inhibitory role of SENP2 in breast cancer glucose uptake.
