Importantly, similar mutations that create active Spi-B-binding sites adjacent to the TATA boxes of archetype-like viruses have been described in the brain of a patient with cerebellar atrophy [122] and in intestinal biopsies of CD patients treated with infliximab [38], suggesting that this type of mutation is supported during dissemination in the host (Figure 1).
