The aim of this study was to determine, in HeLa cervical cancer cell line, whether Limoniastrum guyonianum aqueous gall extract and luteolin, one of the most common flavonoids, could target UHRF1 and DNMT1 expression with subsequent cell cycle arrest and apoptosis via up-regulation of p16INK4A gene. This evidence concerns the gene DNMT1 and cervical cancer.
