Together, these findings indicate that increased locomotor activity, cognitive dysfunction, and abnormal anxiety in Grin1Rgsc174/Grin1+ mice may recapitulate some aspects of schizophrenia, ADHD, and bipolar disorder, while other aspects of these disorders, such as social withdrawal and deficits in sensorimotor gating [77,78], are not represented in Grin1Rgsc174/Grin1+ mice. This evidence concerns the gene GRIN1 and schizophrenia.
