ADCYAP1 and neuroblastoma: Thus, we found that, in 90% of granule cells, infusion of 10−6 M PACAP38 or PACAP27 induced a transient, rapid, and monophasic [Ca2+]i rise, similar to the PACAP-induced Ca2+ response observed in neural NG108-15 cells (Holighaus et al., 2011) but different from that observed in rat pancreatic acinar AR42J cells (Barnhart et al., 1997) or human neuroblastoma NB-OK-1 cells (Delporte et al., 1993) in which the initial peak is followed by a plateau phase that lasts for approximately 2–3 min before the return of [Ca2+]i to baseline level.
