Subsequently, cRNA microarray analysis and real-time PCR (QPCR) studies with RNA from PC-3 human prostate cancer cells identified a number of luteolin-regulated genes in the EGFRSP (EGFR, c-FOS, SOS, GRB2, JNK1, MKK4, RasGAP) and in the CCP (CCNA2, CCNE2, CDC25A, CDKN1A (p21), CDKN1B (p27), PLK1) possibly involved in the anti-proliferative response to luteolin (34, 35). This evidence concerns the gene CDKN1A and prostate carcinoma.
