In this experiment, eleven whole marrow aspirate specimens from patients with acute myeloid leukemia were diluted in a sterile phosphate buffer solution, and then dropped by means of a pipette onto the different sensing spots of a sensor chip array on which anti-CD33 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) had been previously immobilised; two spots were left without a specimen for reference purposes. Here, CD33 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
