P. falciparum circumsporozoite protein (CS) is a leading candidate antigen [1]–[3] and the recent interim analysis of the Phase III RTS,S/AS01E vaccine trial has shown approximately a 55% and 31% reduction in clinical malaria during the first year among children 5–17 months and 6–12 weeks of age, respectively [2], [3].
