Our findings extend previous reports [26], [41], [42] that irrespective of morphological diagnosis, gliomas with high level PDGFRA expression are associated with concomitant IDH1 mutation, higher frequency of deletions at 1p and 19q, lower frequency of EGFR amplification, younger age at diagnosis and better patient's survival. The gene discussed is PDGFRA; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
