As for laboratory data before the operation, the HCC patients with malignant portal vein invasion had higher serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), estimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels compared with HCC patients without portal vein invasion (P <0.05). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
