Thus, new evidences on the regulation of FGFR2 gene expression and a better characterization of FGFR2 promoter might turn out useful to better understand the complex network that undergoes between epithelial and mesenchymal tissues, providing both essential elements for diagnosis and prognosis of neoplastic disorders that have been associated to FGFR2 deregulation and potential targets for novel approach in tumor treatment. Here, FGFR2 is linked to neoplastic disease or syndrome.
