Interestingly, the Endocan immunolabeling (Endocan-MVD) was shown to correlate more strongly with aggressiveness (and shortened survival) for the first time in liver carcinoma than an MVD measured using a pan-endothelial surface marker such as CD34, as described for the first time in liver carcinoma [74]. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
