In the present study, 24-hr treatment of PI-103 or gefitinib as single agents resulted in partial restoration of either phospho-AKT or phospho-ERK in two susceptible BL subtype cell lines (SUM149PT and MDA-MB-468), while 2-hr treatment with these drugs completely inhibited phospho-AKT and phospho-ERK, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK1 and Burkitt lymphoma.
