However, we did detect a higher degree of phosphorylation of Akt/PKB at Ser473 and Thr308 in aggressive neuroblastoma and a statistically significant correlation between high levels of p-Akt/PKB (T308) and low protein levels of PTEN (Figure 3C), indicating a direct effect of PTEN levels and Akt/PKB (T308) phosphorylation.
