Only older age remained significant in the multivariate model after adjusting for BMI, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, stroke, DBP, MAP, eGFR, CRP, and serum albumin, which showed that every 10-year increase in age increased the risk of a pneumonia event by 63% (HR, 1.63; 95% CI, 1.35–1.96; P<0.001).
