ESR1 and gallstones: On comparing the genotype frequency distribution of our study groups i.e. gallstone patients with that of healthy subjects (HS), the homozygous variant genotypes of ESR1 IVS1-397C>T, IVS1-351A>G and ADRB3 -190 T>C polymorphism showed statistically significant increased risk for developing gallstone (p = <0.001; [OR], 2.9: p = 0.002; [OR], 2.6: p = <0.001; [OR], 1.9).
