Similar to Snail, high expression levels of Zeb1 or Zeb2 correlate with a decrease in E-cadherin expression in a multitude of human cancers including breast, endometrial, colon, uterine, pancreatic, and non-small cell lung cancers.3,25 This suggests that Zeb factors correlate with increased metastasis and poor prognosis.
