Similar to other transgenic or KO models in the prostate [58], [59], [60], [61], our model showed that increased expression of Pim1 alone, or in combination with loss of one Pten allele, was not sufficient to produce adenocarcinoma; however, Pim expression clearly contributed oncogenically to the increased severity of mPIN, similar to other models reported.
