ALB and coronary artery disorder: If a diagnosis of diabetes is confirmed, systemic evaluation of diabetic complications is recommended, including risk factors of cardiovascular disease (blood pressure, lipid profile, smoking), urinary albumin excretion, retinal photography, and signs and symptoms of neuropathy, according to the 2013 American Diabetes Association (ADA) guidelines.43 Imaging examinations for coronary heart disease (CHD) are not recommended as a screening test for asymptomatic NAFLD patients with diabetes.
