In PCa, the pancreatic neuritis immune cell population was mainly composed of CD68+ macrophages [39.87% (10.15; 64.88) of all perineural inflammatory cells, 2545 μm2 (665.9; 22012)], followed by CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes [33.20% (21.06; 54.11), 2623 μm2 (586.5; 21092)] and mast cells [MC, 14.46% (0.28; 52.10), 1106 μm2 (21.51; 16090), Figure 1A–C]. Here, CD8A is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
