Twist1 molecularly interacts with Sox10, and although Twist1 S192P displays a comparatively reduced interaction with Sox10 (Figure 5A, 5B, asterisk, 48.3%+/−5.1%, p-value = 0.002), Twist1 T125;S127A, a Saethre-Chotzen Syndrome-associated Helix I dimerization mutant, does not (Figure 5A, 5B, 102.7%+/−12.0%, p-value = 0.85). This evidence concerns the gene TWIST1 and Saethre-Chotzen syndrome.
