IL5 and asthma: In vivo, the KIM-127 signal of blood eosinophils was decreased in subjects with non-severe asthma after administration of anti-IL-5 mepolizumab (Table 2) (Johansson et al., 2013a), indicating that the intermediate conformation of β2 integrins on blood eosinophils is the result of exposure to IL-5 in the bone marrow and/or circulation.
