The constitutive activation of signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3) has been frequently detected in many types of human cancers such as glioblastoma, myeloma, colorectal, and hepatocellular carcinoma where it plays an important role in cell proliferation, tumor invasion, metastasis, and drug resistance [9, 10]. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and glioblastoma.
