In summary, the results presented here demonstrate that recruitment and expression of MHC-II, CD80, CD86, PD-L1, and PD-L2 in Mφ of peritoneal cavity in T. crassiceps early at infection is associated to the sex of the host, although at the time of infection the number of parasites does not differ between both sexes. Here, PDCD1LG2 is linked to infection.
