Since macrophages have been importantly involved in susceptibility/resistance in murine cysticercosis and also can be modulated by sex steroids, we evaluated and compared the response of molecules of early activation of recruited F4/80hi macrophages, such as MHC-II, CD80, CD86, PD-L1, and PD-L2 in both gender infected mice. This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and cysticercosis.
