Since Akt and NF-κB play a critical role in the posttranslational regulation of hTERT telomerase activity and nuclear translocation [22,23], in the present study we investigated whether the antiproliferative and apoptosis-inducing effects of CDDO-Me in prostate cancer cells correlate with the inhibition of telomerase activity. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
