Since Akt and NF-κB play a critical role in the posttranslational regulation of hTERT telomerase activity and nuclear translocation [22,23], in the present study we investigated whether the antiproliferative and apoptosis-inducing effects of CDDO-Me in prostate cancer cells correlate with the inhibition of telomerase activity. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and Familial prostate cancer.
