Low PRL concentrations were consistently associated with T2DM in age- and multivariable-adjusted regression models (men: Q1 vs. Q4: RR, 1.55; 95% CI, 1.13 – 2.14; women: Q1 vs. Q4: RR, 1.70; 95% CI, 1.10 – 2.62). Here, PRL is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
