Several phenotypes have been reported in Tph1 (−/−) mice such as mild anemia [16], [17], decreased neutrophil recruitment to inflammatory sites [17], diabetes, in particular during pregnancy [18], [19], and cardiopathy [4] which could potentially lead to behavioral deficits in offspring of Tph1 (−/−) mice. The gene discussed is TPH1; the disease is anemia (phenotype).
