When CD4+ and CD8+ cell populations were determined as a percentage of CD3+ cells, CD3 + CD4+ populations again trended to be less in tumor deposits than normal liver (22.4% ± 5.6 vs. 34.5% ± 5.4, p = 0.14), but CD3 + CD8+ cells were significantly increased (38.6% ± 3.2 vs. 20.2% ± 1.7, p = 0.00006) (Figure 2B).
