StarD2/PCTP is involved in energy substrate utilization [78]; StarD12/DLC-1, StarD13/DLC-2, and StarD8/DLC-3 are present at low levels or are absent in several human cancer tissues, suggesting their contribution in tumorigenesis [79,80]; and StarD10 is overexpressed in breast cancer and cooperates with ErbB receptors in cellular transformation [81].
