CD4 and tuberculosis: Furthermore, we explored associations of socio-demographic and clinical factors with TB with an allopatric M. tuberculosis strain in a model focusing on HIV–infected European patients only (Figure S1, Table S3): frequent travelling was confirmed to be an important factor, and patients with a low nadir CD4 T cell count tended to be associated with an allopatric TB although the associations did not reach statistical significance (Table S3).
