Previous studies have shown that MACC1 acts as a transcription activator for c-MET and as a key regulator of HGF-c-MET signaling pathway in colon cancer, promoting proliferation, invasion and HGF-induced scattering of colon cancer cells and xenograft growth and metastasis in vivo[1].
