SERPINB5 and neoplasm: Boltze et al. and Tahany et al. detected maspin in 230 and 63 different histological thyroid tissue, respectively, showing that its expression was typical of papillary thyroid tumor, it was associated with tumor multicentricity, vascular and lymphatic invasion, as well as lymph-node metastasis and it was weakly expressed in follicular cancer and absent in normal tissue and in undifferentiated cancers.
