CRP and neoplasm: Both groups were comparable concerning the distribution of sexes (p=0.67; Fisher’s exact test, Table 1), the BMI value (p=0.67; t-test) and tumour location (p=0.71, Fisher’s exact test; Table 1) as well as age, even though patients with a CRP >5 mg/l tended to be older (p=0.054; t-test).
