GAD1 and anxiety disorder: In a subgroup of patients who scored <5 on the HADS-D (i.e., screened negative for MDE; n = 340), the HADS-A, STAI and SSAI at optimal cut-off values had moderate to high sensitivity (range from 69% to 89%) and specificity (range from 67% to 88%) but low PPVs (range from 7% to 22%) for GAD and any anxiety disorders (Table 4).
