IL10 and infection: The DNA vaccines tested did not generate increased cytokines at 12 h post immunization; however, at 9 months post-infection, although both DNA vaccines were tested, only the pBCSSP4 plasmid induced a significant increase in IFN-γ (1080 pg/mL ± 100) and IL-10 (800 pg/mL ± 102) levels in the dogs (Figure 3) at this same time, the values obtained with the pBCSP plasmid-immunization for IFN-γ (100 pg/mL ± 20), IL-10 (102 pg/mL ± 68), and TNF-α (221 pg/mL ± 15) were similar to those observed at the different experimental conditions analyzed (Figure 3).
