ACSL4 and Anxiety: Genes within the lowest variability windows in NPAR included genes from the Ras oncogene family (RAB33A, RAB39B, RAB39B and RAP2C), the SOX3 gene, involved in sex determination, face development and pituitary gland development, the serotonin receptor HTR2C, involved in anxiety, reproductive and feeding behavior, the MECP2, with a role in behavioral fear response, as well as genes involved in lipid metabolism (i.e., ACSL4, ALG13, ABCD1, PLP1), in hair follicle development (NSDHL) and other genes related to immune response (IL13Ra1, IL1RAPL2).
