To characterize the molecular phenotype of TNNI3K-induced cardiac hypertrophy, we examined the transcriptional levels of a set of hypertrophic markers, including atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), skeletal muscle α-actin (Actc1), α- and β-myosin heavy chain (Myh6 and Myh7, respectively), phospholamban (PLN) and sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase (SERCA2a). This evidence concerns the gene MYH7 and cardiac hypertrophy.
