Improving our knowledge on the structure and molecular biology of RSUME isoforms may be relevant for the treatment of pathologies in which SUMO, HIF-1 and NF-κB play essential roles, as well as for the diagnosis and treatment of certain kind of human brain tumors, in which RSUME is expressed, like pituitary adenomas and gliomas [1], [9], [13]. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is pituitary gland adenoma.
