PLA2G2A and rheumatoid arthritis: Sulfasalazine—widely used in the therapy of RA, spondyloarthropathies and inflammatory level diseases—inhibited extracellular release of sPLA2 from fetal rat calvaria osteoblasts suggesting that the anti-inflammatory activity may be related, in part, to the selective inhibition of the extracellular release of proinflammatory sPLA2[188].
