This result is consistent with our previous data demonstrating normal IFN-γ production by antigen-specific T cells after immunization of IL-36R-/- mice with Freund's adjuvant, but contrasts with the adjuvant effect of IL-36, as well as with the decreased IFN-γ production observed in IL-36R-/- mice after infection with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) [17,18]. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and infection.
