NFKB1 and diabetes mellitus: We found that diabetes (Group II) led to an increase in NF-κB levels [Group I 75.5 ± 7.7 (pg/ml) vs Group II 102.8 ± 12.4 (pg/ml), P = 0.001], while treatment with curcumin [Group III 91.3 ± 8.9 (pg/ml)] prevented this effect.
