We further provided for the first time that NF-κB specific inhibitor BAY11-7082, an irreversible inhibitor for IκBα phosphorylation and subsequent proteasome degradation [25], could block the translocation of NF-κB p65 subunit into the nucleus of uveal melanoma cells and markedly inhibit tumor growth by directly inducing uveal melanoma cells apoptosis both in vitro and in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene RELA and uveal melanoma.
