NFKB1 and uveal melanoma: We further provided for the first time that NF-κB specific inhibitor BAY11-7082, an irreversible inhibitor for IκBα phosphorylation and subsequent proteasome degradation [25], could block the translocation of NF-κB p65 subunit into the nucleus of uveal melanoma cells and markedly inhibit tumor growth by directly inducing uveal melanoma cells apoptosis both in vitro and in vivo.
