HCC-specific alterations of signal transduction pathways and protein expression patterns have been detected and have led to the development of new therapeutic agents with molecular targets such as EGFR, VEGF, DDEFL, VANGL1, WDRPUH, Ephrin-A1, GPC3, Number gain 7q, PFTK1, PEG10 and miR-122a [34]–[44]. This evidence concerns the gene CFAP52 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
