Previous work with MeV has shown that infection with this virus can lead to a block in IFNα-induced Jak1 phosphorylation but not Tyk2 phosphorylation [24], while another study with the V protein from a different MeV showed a block in Tyk2 phosphorylation by binding to Jak1 through the P/V/W common domain [15]. Here, TYK2 is linked to infection.
