As described earlier [2]–[6], [15], reduction of renal mass in 5/6 resulted in systemic hypertension, heavy albuminuria, progressive glomerulosclerosis (GS), interstitial expansion/collagen deposition, marked tubulointerstitial proliferation, as well as interstitial infiltration by macrophages, myofibroblasts, and cells staining positively for AII. This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and Gerstmann syndrome.
