VEGFA and coronary artery disorder: Because many therapeutic reagents with high potency also exhibit adverse side effects, e.g., elevated risk of coronary heart disease by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and disturbance of blood vessel maintenance by anti-VEGF-A inhibitors, the application or stimulation of natural secretory or endogenous ARSs (e.g., GARS and EPRS), might provide a new set of physiologic extracellular or intracellular pathways as basis for developing novel therapeutics with minimal side-effects.
